• We're going to start doing a weekly challenge that will revolve around a theme/word.
• This challenge can be done in any medium you see fit (comic, painting, photography, short story, lego.. anything that strikes your fancy).
• During the week, people are encouraged to post their progress (not necessary, but it may help to motivate people who are lagging/haven't decided if they'll join in. Also, it provides a means for feedback if you're feeling stumped/unsure of where to go with your work).
• During the week, people are also encouraged to contribute their word/theme for the following week. On Saturday, someone (I would say me, but what if I'm away for the weekend?) will start a thread for the following week containing the list of suggestions. We choose the one we want on Sunday evening at 9 Perth time.
• Also on Sunday we post whatever we came up with, receive kudos from everyone, and we start on the next one on Monday.
Any questions?Themes you wish to supply?
Themes/words so far suggested (I will add more as they are supplied, or if you do not have one of your own, throw a vote in for one listed):
• Grounded (inspired as an opposite of Flight) • Bare (can be interpreted in any way people want) • Electric • Fugly • A bottomless pit 4 votes The winnah!

This is cool. I like that it can be any medium.. that gives everyone an opportunity to contribute and will give a variety of results. Count me in.
I'll add a word to the mix.. Electric
and my wife suggested Fugly

awesomesticks. I will contribute the phrase "A bottomless pit". Too many phrases? So we'll nominate one we like when all the ideas are in?
I have concepts. This is going to be awesome.

Awesome, I think we have enough ideas for this week now, so now everyone decides which one they like the most. Now tonight at 9, which ever one gets the most votes (or, if it's a tie, I guess I'l decide unless an Admin would like to do so) is the one we go with.
Tell people to vote!

As much as I wanted to go with 'Grounded', I've come up with an idea that really has me excited for 'A bottomless pit'. So that one is getting my vote.

This might be a given, but I'm throwing myself behind A bottomless pit as well. Should we be holding on to the other suggestions though for future weeks? I've kind of got a sketchy concept for all of them, and they're good words. GREAT words, even.

Bottomless pit sounds good to me too. Looking forward to see which word we go with, so I can come up with something.

So, to clarify, we have a week to create something based off the phrase "A bottomless pit" (assuming it is the winner) however we see fit. all other suggestions are shelved/discarded until further notice, correct?
I got nothing for a bottomless pit, but I only just read it, so I'll give it some thought. Thanks for pushing forward with this idea GH!

I know I'm late, and usually I'd apologise, but I was watching the new episode of Breaking Bad. no apology is needed with that sweet sweet shit.
So, 'A bottomless pit' it is.
To reiterate; we each do our own project around that theme (can be taken literally, figuratively or symbolically, or, and other way you want, just not anally, that would be uncomfortable I'm sure) in any medium we want.
The other ideas will be put on hold, and on Wednesday or so I'll start a thread for people to post their ideas into for the following week. Sound good?

Oh yeah, an people can join in at any time too. So if you happen to come across this thread on Tuesday or Thursday, don't feel like as though you are left out. Just make sure you decide to do something that you can upload/post by Sunday 29th.
And don't forget that you're free to post any updates you want in this thread as you go along, it may help to motivate people who didn't want to join/don't think they have time!
