Championland is my card game blog. I love playing games, and really enjoy making them. I found a source to get cards printed and decided it was my new project. So I'll be making a bunch of new card games and some will eventually be sent out for short-run production. I've been wanting to do start for a while now, and NWWBW inspired me to finally get moving, and make a blog documenting the process. Also, I'll post some game ideas in the project boards at some point. I know I'll need help with artwork, ideas, and other assistance (I currently need a good villain for the Pixel Lincoln game) Sometimes I just need a solid title for a game. The first game I came up with is a game about mazes, cleverly named Maze Game. I already came up with a logo though, so it's too late to change that one. Check it out... championland.wordpress.com/

Oh wow, this is really cool!
I'd be interested in doing artwork (in the future when my time is a little more abundant!)
I am a big board and card game fan. (We just bought Chrononauts the other day)

Awesome, thanks! I love your art style (I popped over from Luke's blog a few times) and I'd be thrilled to do something together at some point. I'll be posting my game list in here and at the blog in a few days (the list is on my laptop which is getting repaired. hopefully the mac geniuses don't steal my ideas). Some games are basic like the maze game, but others could be super visual... and that is my biggest weakness.

I too would chip in some art where required as you probably know!

This sounds like an awesome idea. I'd be willing to help out with whatever I could as well. Seeing as I will be laid-off in about 3 weeks, I will have plenty of free time on my hands.

I'm really excited to see what you have in store, as well as playing them as well. Becca and I are always looking for new games to play. Case in point: Chrononauts. I have no idea what this is, but I will be looking into it today.
Your blog is changing lives.

Definitely. Thanks! (it seems like everyone is getting laid off nowadays, sorry to hear that) So I posted a brief overview of the gameplay for maze game. Next time I'll post the alternate version, which I think is more fun than the original. championland.wordpress.com

Do you have the mad skillz to do a flash version?

I wish...
I have limited flash skills. I'll have to try it again one day. I know how to make things happen on mouse clicks, but not how make a random card appear from a pool of 50 cards. This game would be a good one to learn from, since it's so simple.
Anybody else have mad flash skillz? It would be cool for playtesting as well. I've been taping paper onto Pokemon cards recently.

Man, that has to be very time consuming? I wish I new all that stuff. But alas I don't know anything about flash. Now photoshop...that I can do.

I've been taping paper onto Pokemon cards recently. we can try to recruit Gumby to join (of palisades/cmx era) but I think he would have the same problems here as he did with cmx, so it'd be a wash. maybe Matt (Gusguttata)? also, is flash difficult to learn?

My laptop is back, so I posted two new entries. The alternate (better) version of Maze Game and a new game called Starts With / Ends With. championland.wordpress.com/also, is flash difficult to learn? I don't think it's extremely difficult. I can make a ball bounce and things move around the screen. I can also make a color change on a mouseclick or mouseover. But it feels like Adobe Illustrator, which really frustrates me sometimes.

I posted a little bit about Pixel Lincoln (the little guy can be seen in our NWWBW banner). At the end I posted the blank pixel grid if anybody is feeling it, and wants to make a pixel enemy. championland.wordpress.com/
