Me am. Got tickets for Sunday in Freo, gonna make an afternoon out of it.
Haven't actually heard anything about it yet, at least, nothing that I want to read for fear of spoilers.

I don't know anything about Watchmen. I know I had to make buttons with the smiley face a few years ago for a comic shop, but that's it. The trailers look pretty cool, and the little that I've read about it seems like I would like it... but I don't EVER get to the theaters anymore. Maybe I'll pick up a comic this weekend.

I don't know anything about Watchmen. Your mind deserves this work. You really should go and pick up the trade. It's one of those stories, like The Dark Knight Returns, that I find myself rereading every year or so. It's damn fine stuff.

Your mind deserves this work. You really should go and pick up the trade. I think I'll pick it up this weekend... if I can get a copy. I'm sure I won't be the only one looking for it, but the stores are probably stacked.

I saw it last night. I am totally floored and impressed in everywhich way. Going to go find an IMAX screening tomorrow, cos I am THAT smitten. My heart breaks for the nerd rage it's currently generating in certain corners....

Yeah it's fucken' good. So much for all those claims about it being unfilmable, it made an awesome film and like Snyder said in interviews, he basically had the best storyboard in the world to work with. Saw it in Imax in Carousel last night and my pants were wet by the end of it. Watch it for the glowing blue cock shots alone. It's very, very good.

I saw it Monday night and liked it very much. It's not perfect, but damn it's good!
I'm going again tomorrow.

J, you can pick up Watchmen from Target for $15 (at least as of yesterday you could). I picked up a copy to reread and then make Becca read because she never heard of it (rightfully so, she's never been one to seek out geek culture in years past).
I saw it yesterday morning, and loved it. loved the visuals and loved a lot about it. Maybe its because I've reread it in the past week, but I found myself asking why did they make certain changes from what it was originally? I don't mean things like why did they cut the pirate comic, but little things that probably dont make a difference. One in particular comes to mind but I'll share later. It didn't impact me really enjoying myself though, so yay!

Just saw it.
It was good. Not great, but good. The story lot a lot of it's impact in the move to the big screen, mainly because of the trimming of the all the side/support stories. I am now going to get my hands on the animated Black Freighter feature.
Rorschach was bloody brilliant though. damn was he ever perfect.

I thought it was really great. The new ending did leave me a little under-whelmed but not enough to ruin the movie or anything. It's not that I thought it was "bad" or "wrong" but just not as epic and out of left field as the comic.
Can we talk spoilery talk here?
