That shirt is the best, particularly the slogan.
Jay I tried out the hillbilly riding the firebreathing pig boss but am having a bit of trouble with it. I think it's because to make the pig wide enough to warrant two squares he becomes too tall to really squeeze in a readable hillbilly. It's tricky to find enough space to do a double wide rider.

I'm splitting the business cards with my brothers game design company. The pixel lincoln will be on one side, and their images/info on the other. I won't be selling anything or even standing at their table, but I should be able to get up to 1000 business cards out there over the weekend. I'll get a few more NWWBW links up on my blog to try and get some of the traffic over here as well. I'm definitely going to put a NWWBW link on the actual game box as well. I want to cross promote as much as possible. That shirt is cool. If we ever want to do anything here, or for pixel lincoln, my brother gave me a few good resources for shirts, stickers, posters, etc.
Luke, I think I can picture what you are saying. Maybe just have the fire-breathing hog without the rider? That would still be hilarious. Or have the rider at ground level, not actually riding him. That could be complicated though.

You know, I've got a friend who does direct to garment printing. We could make this t-shirt happen.

Ok, so I've been away from my computer for the past few days, but I finally got to work on this game little. I ordered the business cards, and I started the box art. I have an idea of mixing my two favorite styles of old school box art. One is to use the pixels right on the cover, but I also love when they do a detailed drawing of the characters in poses. So I thought Lincoln should be all pixelly and the enmies should be detailed and awesome. Here's the box art so far without the enemies. I sketched a few enemies and threw them in. It's really rough, but feels the way I wanted it to. I tried to fit in more (or even less) enemies, but my space got screwy. I definitely want the shark in there. This is the ultimate goal for the art style of the enemies. I'm petty sure I'm not capable of that though. My best is a little better than the image above, but I know I could have Carolyn paint the colors for me to make the style look more like that box art.

Looks great so far. I'm not capable of pulling off that style either but there may be someone here who can.

J, thats really cool and makes me want to go back and look at old videogame art. have you thought of doing a Championland logo in the style of the old nintendo logo: Mike, the shirt was made at zazzle.com, which is a direct to print company. if your friend can get way better pricing than what offered via zazzle, I'd love to talk for future endeavors

That boss worked out perfectly! Nice job.
I was thinking of making a Championland logo for the back of the packaging. Then I thought about the front and got wrapped up in something else. It wouldn't be difficult at all to make it look just like that Nintendo logo. I threw in some Sega elements too (the grid lines) so I might check out a few of the old logo styles. I also have a penny for the back that says "Quality Seal of Approval" around it.

Double post here too. I might try the logo like how the Megaman box has the Capcom logo at the top. I could put Premier World Wide Card Game Designer Championland. That would be pretty funny, and full of shit.
Also if anybody here has the skills to draw the enemies like that, let me know. If not, I'll be trying it for real in a day or two. But the backup plan is to just put a few pixel enemies if it doesn't work out at all.

you would have to follow the link but i think its around 30 each. its that high because there is some text on the back of the shirt. if that wasnt there i think it comes down to 21.
