I started a blog back in January. It fizzled to a close after a handful of posts. It wasn't the first blog that I have begun and abandoned. But NWWBW will help me stop history repeating itself! If I think that maybe someone actually knows it is there then perhaps this will force me to keep posting. That is the theory. So rather than starting again AGAIN I am picking it up from where I left off with a post about my day. www.wildparticle.comMany more to come I hope....

Your blog is great. I hope you do keep up with it. I like reading what you write.
I never got into the goblin city in Labyrinth on the C64 either I don't think. I remember using Ludo to call the rocks and hitting the guards but not much beyond that. Did the big armoured guard come and kick my arse or something?

Yeah. It was all kinds of frustrating. You'd call the rocks, throw them at the guards, maybe knock them out, but never seem to get anywhere.
I never did finish it. Who knows what pixelated wonders we missed out on? Oh well, whatever we've imagined over the years is probably better than the actual end sequence of the game anyway.
I miss those games where you'd get to enter your character's name. Labyrinth was one of those. I'd often call myself something stupid just for effect. I will never forget the first time I played Labyrinth. The tinny C64 version of "Within You" played and the that 16 colour Jareth the Goblin King said...
"Hey you! Yeah, you in the front row, POOKNUCKLE."
Ah.. memories. Like the first time I managed to get all those questions right you had to answer to prove you were old enough to play Leisure Suit Larry.

I saw this youtube walkthrough of Labyrinth to try and sate my curiosity but they don't even go to that bit with the gate! Was it a red herring? What a total rort! au.youtube.com/watch?v=XKhxR1QPqcA&feature=relatedPlus look at how Sarah walks. She looks like she rode a horse for half a day then fucked it as a reward. And her neck looks like a crazy cock. And the whole game can be completed in 14 minutes. And looks like it was made in 20. Not cool. I blame Bowie and his loose morals.
