Christmas Songs

A group of my friends have put on an original Christmas play each year for the past 10 years. A few bands perform their Christmas songs during the play, and a bunch more record songs for a CD that is released at the event (the first year it was a cassette tape).

I've contributed a song for 6 or 7 of those years. The first two were my solo project and as soon as I can locate the songs, I'll share them here. But the last 4 years were my band, The Castle Arms (me, and fellow board and family members cctagmire and georgetagmire) and they're online.

I'll post the other 2 as soon as I can find them. One was a weird version of Canon in D and the other was a raw group version of Do They Know It's Christmas. This year we're doing Mary's Boy Child by Boney M. It's going to be awesome.

We finished the Christmas song for this year over a week ago, but it's taken me this long to upload it. I was having weird timeout errors every day... but here it is! It's Mary's Boy Child by Boney M. Redone by me, my wife, and my daughter.

It has info on the show that my friends put on each year, but also has mp3s of the songs that the bands contribute. There are almost 90 mp3s, with originals and covers. Some are absolutely amazing. I know it's kind of weird not knowing the bands, but I think these songs are really good ones that you could enjoy whether you knew the people or not.

It is! What do you get a wookie for Christmas when he already has a comb.

The album is called Christmas in the Stars. I so have to blog about the new thing I have to play it on.
