Didn't want to sway opinion, but my favourite is the second one on the top row. If PK is red, then it's probably best that Bruce isn't. Bruce should be pretty stealthy anyway. I know I still gave him some bright bits there but at least they're armoured. Agreed! And since that's one of my favourites too, let's go with that one! Everything is falling into place!

I don't know now... I keep looking at the first two and now I think maybe the first one. Maybe red shoulders/knees is better. Any other thoughts. Did some rough colours on the test comic. First one is just flat colours that ignore the light. Second one I threw in the effect of the light. It was actually a super hard comic to colour as I didn't really know how to deal with the light at all. Gives us an idea anyway:

Haha, yeah I threw you a bit a of a hard one there. Man though, you did a great job. I really like the one with the lighting effect! And so fast too!
My only suggestion is lens flares everywhere.
;P

That looks fantastic! I wasn't aware of the hand/torch thing when I first saw the page, but the colouring makes it obvious.
You guys should get this published in colour by First Second!

My eyes went right to the third one with the inverted outfit colors. For some reason I really like that one. The lighting looks cool, but maybe a little harsh? (but could be from after seeing the image with no lighting). I popped both images on top of each other in Photoshop and took the lighting layer down to 50% and it looked really cool somewhere in between the two.

I think the harshness is kind of cool and fitting to me.
I kind of implied it, the corridor (or whatever they are in) is pitch black and the hand is the only source of light. I wouldn't normally light a scene so harshly, but it seems kind of right for this one, if that makes sense?
Don't know how Luke feels about it, but that's my take anyway.

Grug - Yeah post on Live Journal for sure. I was hoping to blog about it this evening too.
Jay and Grug - It is harsh and oversaturated in parts where the colours really been pushed. I do lean towards Grug's view though, because it should be the sort of bright spotlight that blinds you if it hits you. Obviously we don't know a lot about what's happening in this sequence, but my take is that they've journey into the bowels of their ship and are looking around. I like how the light bleaches the bottom of the goat.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense. It definitely gives that feel of a corridor. When I took the light down to 50% you really lose that effect in the first frame.

So where are you guys going to host this when it's done?
And when can I start buying stuff?

We hadn't talked about stuff like that yet... Yesterday i was thinking of registering dot com for it maybe?
I think it could kind of be a big deal webcomic-wise.

Yesterday i was thinking of registering dot com for it maybe? It's cheap enough that it's almost always worth it. I just renewed 2 of mine tonight.

It looks great guys, and I want to see more now. regarding hosting, whether you make it into a webcomic or in print, it definitely needs a website of its own. but, as a thought, if it were to be a webcomic, would hosting it on a NWWBW site be an idea? I mean, if it takes off, it would attract a community of people to it, and here is as good a place as any.
