That looks great. I'm really excited for this. The background characters in that scene are pretty awesome too. Thanks! The one in the middle of the first panel - he happened because I was watching a movie with John C Reilly in it while I was drawing.

Heh, this raises so many questions. Where is he? What is he doing there? And how do I interpret that last sweaty panel?
Your Deevis feels really comfortable to me, he works really well, I love that design. And still I can't even pick a favourite character, which is a good sign.
This will need a lot of pinks. Great stuff.

Lookin' good!
More questions: Are all his paintings of naked women? Where did he get that sweet headboard with the hearts in it?
EDIT: I never noticed John C. Reilly had that Krusty the Clown type hair. It's really points out on the sides.

Yeah, I imagine his own quarters in the ship are like a blanket and a pile of newspapers. I don't think he has any nice stuff.

Aha! See I've never been to one.
But I should have known that nobody actually sleeps in a bed that looks like that.

Whew! I've just thumbnailed out the first ten pages. If it stays at about the pace it's going now, the first chapter will be about 50 pages. Long for a mini, but cool anyway! I like the idea of making a big fat book.

Over two-thirds of the thumbnailing is now done! (I just plotted page 21! May come in a little shorter than I thought?)

I finished the thumbnailing!
It's only 36 pages, which is quite a bit shorter than I thought, but probably a good thing. (It gives us more options when it comes to printing)
Next I start penciling (probably tomorrow night)
