Woot! Granted Wednesday is a bit of a late start, but that doesn't mean we can't get shit done. Am I rite? Yeeeah!
Today started off awesome due to the tiny painting I got of my Warcraft character by Luke. Thats over at my blog if your curious. The rest of the week will be a muddle for me. At work we're furiously stocktaking and trying to finish that before I leave (unlikely) and trying to fit in a farewell morning tea for me tomorrow morning. Unlikely? I would say so. This week consists of making the most of my almost-former workplace (last day tomorrow) and preparing for holiday awesomeness. I don't know yet what I should do in this holiday. Any and all suggestions welcome.
Creatively - I don't know. I'm feeling somewhat busy. I've had no luck starting my monologue, and certainly need to. And I'd like to start editing my Nano novel. Thats all I'm aiming for this week. We'll see how I go.

On Monday I finished off this little guy, for my Grandma for Christmas: And this morning he was posted on one of my favourite blogs! I'm also working on a couple of other felty creatures for other presents (puppy plushie!) which should all be finished this week or it will be too late and Christmas will be cancelled.

That's really cool. I should start making some gifts for people. Christmas is making me crazy. I only have like 3 people left to buy for, and I'm really stressing out about them. We did buy this for my daughter though:

We did buy this for my daughter though: Oh. My. God. I want it. How big is it? Would I be able to sit on it? Do they sell them in Australia? Ride On Dinosaur!!!

I think you could sit on it. It's 2.5 feet tall, so like almost .75 meters (metric feels weird?).
I know I'm going to sit on it. This may be more a gift for me than a gift for my daughter.

I think the big thing will be making christmas cards and sending them out, plus updating/modifying my resume for a job that just came up that needs me more than they know.

Liz: That's awesome. I saw a pic of the companion cube you made too (from the links on Heath's blog). I love that stuff. More please.
J: You are the coolest dad ever. That thing is incredible. When I saw the picture before reading the post I was thinking, "Please, please, tell us you bought it." I hope she goes nuts. (In a fun way).

(In a fun way). Thanks! I've been obsessing over that dinosaur for weeks, and we finally found it on sale. Some people think we're crazy and that it's a waste of money at her age, but she's the happiest baby in the world.

A dinosaur you can ride is never a waste of money.
That's the sweetest thing I've seen in awhile.

That dinosaur is the best present ever! My last two weeks have been pretty crappy - I've been suffering a long while with Crohn's disease and since it hasn't improved they've put me on stronger medication... I'm not sure which is worse to tell the truth! Anyway enough excuses.... On the postive side old work has finally come through - some time ago I did some work on a combined French/Australian documentary 'Cracking the Colour Code' - yesterday my copy of the distributor release DVDs arrived in the mail to much delight! The DVD will be released Jan 2009 through Madman - www.madman.com.au/actions/catalogue.do?method=view&releaseId=11450 - if you're into doco's then check it out!

Sorry to Luke and Suzanne who are silent background characters again. I know there was another thing I wanted to turn into a comic as well, but I can't remember what it was. This is why I should write things down. :/ I got a bunch of work done on the comic projects last week, don't know how productive I'll be this week though.

I am honoured to make my second appearance in your diary comics, even though I am always a shabby hobo and wear my trademarked hat, even though I consciously didn't on that occasion. One day you will do a comic dedicated to all the absolutely hilarious things I say. It will be one panel.
Thank you so much again to yourself and Jess. It was an awesome night despite the woeful holiday special. We totally need to repay the favour and have you guys over here for some laffos.

Double post, but I should actually contribute what I achieved this week. Not much, I'm taking it easy for the holidays (especially now that Suzanne is also free and we are visiting everyone) but I did manage to take part in Mike's (Colossal Cockhole's) awe-inspiring, pants-tenting Cat Off, and last night, on a whim I also wrote my monologue for the delightful Arielle. We'll be presenting it in early March and I'm really excited about where we're going with it. It's a relief to get it done.

My week flew by. Mostly work and Christmas shopping, and afterwards I've been so tired that I've been just crashing while trying to work on my laptop. I did get to perform a song in a Christmas play/concert on Saturday. I also worked on some flyers for upcoming events, and I started a new website for our arts center.
