So, I finally got around to signing up to the site. Only... what... 2 months after Luke told me about it? In all honesty though, I did want to sign up before, but I was afraid that if my wife happened to walk by while I was on she may get a glimpse of what one of her Xmas gifts was going to be. Seeing as to how she has now received them and I have finally uploaded the projects to my site, I figured it was a good time to join. Excited aren't you? Grasshopper is another friend from the Perth comics scene who writes and draws amazing work, so it is great to have him here.

Hey! Good to see you here! Glad you came onboard. How are things and what have you been up to? Looking forward to catching up. Me? Well, decided to do the smart thing and quit my job. You know, seeing as to how the job market is right now and all, it seemed to make sense to give up a secure position. Right? I'm going to have a go at freelance design work, something I've never really pursued with too much gusto. Also, I'm heading to UWA to take the Bachelor of Fine Arts program, well, that is, if they'll accept me. I got accepted with about 30 points worth of credit to my name due to previous work, but I can only get in if I pass an English as a second language test with a crazy ass grade... and, despite the fact that it is the only language I have ever spoken, I don't know if I passed it. I'll find that out in another week or two. Till then, I have some stuff I want to work on. About 4 years ago I started writing a web comic, just the scripts, I was going to have my buddy draw it, but then he started working on his own stuff so it's been on hiatus ever since (and that bastard has gotten himself printed while I just played video games). I have almost three months worth of stuff written, I just need to try to draw it now. Once I do that it'll be a Monday-Friday thing on my site. I've got basic character designs done, I'm just not too happy with the way they look. I think it's more the style, but I'll get it. I hope. |
