OK with all the toy designers and fans on here... is anyone doing these yet? www.kidrobot.com/2008/munny/ I'm keen - maybe it could be a challenge?

Well I went and bought some anyway, 'cause one of my SG* friends is doing a totally awesome conversion using Star Wars parts etc - so I feel inspired...
They should arrive by the time I get back from my 4 week tour of 'The Continent' - my quest to make up for having never traved anywhere by visiting 15 different European cities in 21 days...
(*Suicide Girls - that's where I blog nowadays coz I'm just happy to be an out-and-out sleazy bastard! That and they have a pretty cool artist community.)

The closest I've come was last Christmas I painted up some blank Babushka dolls for my wife. I picked them up from Whitegoods in Northbridge. They also sell those kind of figures there too (but they never have the damn MonQ in stock): www.thebutchershop.com.au/shop/Blank+Objects/

I'd be up for this as a challenge, but fair warning - I have no real talent or ideas at the moment, and thats a dangerous combination so watch out.

My hesitation is the fact that those blank figures are actually quite expensive here. I could never bring myself to actually paint it for fear of ruining it. Granted, I guess if I used acrylics, I could always layer the paints.
Still... a challenge... that may be interesting.

Hmm my CC payment failed for some reason - they want me to call to sort it out? Bugger that!
I'm thinking some DAS sculpted model 'inspired' by the above may be in order, otherwise a trip to whitegoods - it looks like a very cool store!
