Drawing Life

[grug]

Jess and I started a daily drawing blog (which I am linking now even though we are one week into a two week hiatus) called Drawing Life.

We're posting a photo every day and both drawing it. We've assigned every day a different category; Monday = Man, Tuesday = Woman, Wednesday = building, Thursday = man-made, Friday = nature.

The idea is we'll draw things that we don't normally draw or that we don't draw that well - plus it's a chance to play with different materials etc.

We also encourage people to join in - check the comments on each post!

Meant to tell you that Suzanne and I really enjoyed looking through this blog the other day. Some amazing stuff from both of you and stuff that I've never seen you do before, so it's definitely working.

What are your plans for the images you've created? There are some really nice pieces there.

I saw this page a few weeks back and looked through every image and every comment at that point. It's really cool. A great ideam and I'd love to join in sometime. I need drawing experience more than anything.

I would totally contribute to this. How much time do you have between knowing what the image will be and posting it, i.e. is it one you choose on the day?

very cool, I really like it. Would be wiling to play so long as being able to draw and have it recognized as the topic isn't always a requirement.

No plans, it's just an exercise to get better at drawing. They'll probably just pile up on my desk in the study until I can't handle it any more and throw them out.

Thanks! And, please do! Anything is good practise, from a pencil sketch to a finished piece - it's all good and fun!

We each don't know what the other has chosen for us to draw until we sit down to draw it.
