Will start this in it's own thread to avoid confusion.
Some quick thoughts of my own. I think a Bounty Game should:
Allow you to choose from the four characters, all of which have unique abilities.
Involve bounty hunting. Maybe there are cards with possible targets, many of which are small time deadbeats but some that are a real challenge or out of your league.
You should be able to team up or double cross to end up with the most loot - or even just alive.
There could be bonus secret side missions like when they were supposed to kill that guy but deevis was really after the porn.
Maybe the team has a set list of assets - the most expensive being the ship - and you can barter these if in debt. You might do this behind the other players backs.
Make it so!

Cool ideas. There are already a lot of aspects of games that I love in there. Any type of bartering/teaming up can lead to backstabbing (which is always awesome). The side missions remind me of chrononauts or even fluxx in a way. In fluxx there is a common goal/win condition out for all to see and in chrononauts everyone has a secret mission card. I prefer the goal that everyone can see because it creates a little tension, you can tell when someone is getting close to win and you know who to watch out for. When it's a secret somebody just shouts "I'm the winner" and everyone else is just pissed off. As for production, I always tend to work with my limitations, not sure if that's the route you guys want to go. Playing cards are the easiest and cheapest format to get produced. There are a few Print on Demand card companies that are all comparable in price, and each takes up to 45 days to get you your order. Business cards are another neat idea, but only work when you need multiples of the same card. For Lines of Fire I bought 1000 of each card and a game uses 10 of each card. Boards and boxes are really expensive. But.. there is a place that does print on demand boards and boxes, and components. www.thegamecrafter.com It's not retail quality, but it's a great option for getting something out there.

I like the "collected assets" concept where there are shared resources amongst the 4 players. A fluxx-like mechanic would be interesting within this game, but perhaps the goal cards would be secret, meaning the first goal is in play, but as the game goes on, players can change the goal for their own purposes, but then not tell others.

I am thinking I want this game to be really good, and thus I kind of want to develop another game or two first to see what does and doesn't work - I don't want to barrel into this one too quickly, since the only people that will buy it are going to be the small group of people that read the comic.
I have another mostly formed idea for a game that I will probably post about soon.
