This is pretty cool. It's the 2nd Annual Halloween show at a friends recording studio, with bands playing as other bands. I'll be playing guitar and keyboards as part of The Cure. Last year me and my brother played as Flight of the Conchords. If I can get some video during tonight's show I'll post it here.  www.dinerstate.com |

How did this go, Jay? It sounds fucking awesome. Do you have any footage from the previous ones or any photos of you guys as Flight of the Conchords because that would make me happy.

It was a lot of fun. I videotaped a bit of everyone, but my camera was dead by Pearl Jam (which was amazing). I have some video and photos from last year around here somewhere. Let me look around. Mike also attended (mike mike, not Colossal Cockhole, or michael, or stryderwolfe) and we got to chat it up for a while.
The same group also does a christmas play/concert every year. They release a CD at the show filled with xmas related original and cover songs. I've done a song for the past 6 or 7 years, but I've never actually permormed at the event. But this year, we plan to do a second event of just music performances of artists/songs from past shows. It should be a lot of fun, and interesting trying to perform our songs live. They're usually written and recorded pretty quickly, and in my case I've forgotten how to play most of them.
I'll come back and post some photos/video in a little bit.

thats a really cool Robert Smith.
This makes me sad that Australians tend not to celebrate stuff as much as Americans do. I think its our inherent laziness...

These clips were great, Jay. You guys make a good Cure. And that's a good Robert Smith voice that's guy's got going on.
You know my friend BJ/Brendon? He always said he was going to start a band called Prevention that was better than the Cure.
