tonight, i begin the second draft of my nanowrimo novel. once that's complete, i'll get it onto the internets for everyone to peruse. i've also started brainstorming for a new book; whether it's for next year's nano or something i start sooner remains to be seen. i've also begun talking with my old drummer about starting up a new musical project, but that's just talk at this point.

It's weird to be working on my own stuff all of the sudden. I am working on my inking with a brush technique this week, because I want to ink both Luke's and the other graphic novel project with a brush.

I love the brush stuff, glad you're going that route. Also enjoyed the catch up session on your blog. Feel free to post any of the Glorious Bounty stuff as you see fit.

Thanks man. Once I finalise the last character's costume, I'll post a group shot of them all as a teaser I think.
Man, that dinosaur you got today was rad!

I must start my monologue tonight. This is my big thing. Luke'll be directing it so I'm scared to death and it's going to actually have to be good, heaven forbid.
Also due to my impending work departure I'm writing farewell cards and getting my secret santa present organized and all that stuff. Work is winding down and all the farewelling and staff lunches and stuff starts soon. Not too much Christmas stuff left to buy, thankfully!

How's everyone's week going? Achieving lots? I think I've finished my Secret Santa art exchange gift. I am taking advantage of a free shirt print I won at the 24 hour comic thingy, and having this image put onto a shirt: (The brown background will be whatever the shirt is. The girl getting the gift seems to like to wear brown, judging by her Flickr account.) She is also getting one of my pop-up books and maybe one of Jess' screen printed bags?

I agree on both counts. I am still not getting as much accomplished as I should be. But it's Christmas, right? So it's time for funnins!

Oh, and Grug: Let us know how the T-shirt printing goes. Would love to see a photo of it.

My week wasn't entirely wasted. I had a really tough week at work, but I managed to get in a few little things. Tonight I played a few of our Xmas songs live, as well as a few with another band. It was pretty light and fun, and felt great. I'll post some video in the Christmas Songs thread once I get it online.
Last night I did sound for a David Bowie tribute band called Stardust. It was super theatrical, but also pretty good.
Onto next week where I have the toughest creative challenge yet... picking out Xmas gifts for my friends and family.

I feel like I had a super productive week!
1) My daily comics 2) The above secret santa shirt 3) Glorious Bounty has really moved into production now.
As of this lunchtime the book is one third thumbnailed!
The teachers here will all be on holiday soon, and then I can start being naughty and work on it at work. I expect it all to be thumbnailed by the end of this week, and real pages (pencilled) to appear next week.
Not sure if I should post pencilled pages here, because then the finished ones will be less impressive, so you may have to wait.
