Since Spy Pirate Island was gloriously destroyed by rampant agents (sorry forgot to get photos!) the next Lego project has been the cult classic Convoy! Since I dpn't think I could endure watching it over and over I've taken some artistic license with it all, but let's face it - there aren't a great list of movies about a bunch of trucks - so I don't think it'll take too much to guess what we're on about. Here's what we've made...  "We got a great big convoy, trucking through the night" The mighty Mack, Kris Kristoferson's truck - call sign 'Rubber Ducky', plus some supporting cast  A 'smokey'? (someone correct my CB talk!)  Well since we're doing bad 80's I thought I'd throw in a bit of 'Easyrider'   "Ain't nothing gonna stop this convoy..."  Yes, it's Senor Rocket Launcher!  Closeup of rubber ducky - big 80's mo to go! (He didn't have amo in the movie but I felt he should!) I may add some more but finding the fiddly little bits to build trucks and cars in our massive 50L bucket of lego is proving cumbersome... |

That's awesome. I love Lego style vehicles, especially the trucks. I've been building the Lego Sandcrawler for about 2 weeks now and I feel like it will consume the rest of my life. I don't know why it's taking so long.
I've never seen Convoy. Is it better than Over The Top?

I saw that today at the toy store and drooled!
Convoy is on par with 'Smokey and the Bandit' or Cannonball Run...

Nothing is better than Over The Top. I once skipped a day at Walt Disney World to sit in my hotel and watch Over The Top. This thread is bringing my Lego itch back. I'm heading back to the neverending Sandcrawler. |

Ok, to be honest, I'm not familiar with the movie that this is supposed to be referencing. I think you did a marvelous job, though.
BUT
This project definitely reminded me of how much I love Legos. Granted, I haven't even touched them in ages, but, I feel almost inspired enough to go to Target and buy myself a few. I really miss them!
