I don't know his last name, but I do know his first name is Greg. I always found him annoying on 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?', but he and DiMaggio have some good banter between them.

Haha, he's probably my favourite who's line guy (UK version) mostly because he and Clive were always fighting.

Haha, he's probably my favourite who's line guy (UK version) mostly because he and Clive were always fighting. Yeah, I must say I really hated the American version, mainly because of Drew Carey and the fact that he had to include himself in the last skit of the show. Plus, they never changed the roster, that's why I liked the UK one. Overall though, any episode that had both Ryan Stiles and Colin Mockery (sp?) had something to laugh at in it. I didn't realise that Wi Resort was coming out here in July, but I guess it makes sense since it's packed in with the Wii Motion +. Oh, one thing about MadWorld pissed me off before I even played it. Apparently you need the newest system update to use it, but it doesn't say that on the box. No, you find that in the booklet, which means that if you have an older Wii not connected to the internet you'd be screwed, twice. First for not being able to play the game, and a second time by not being able to return it cause you would have already opened it before finding out (granted, what store actually sells sealed games nowadays? goddamn cockhole does that ever piss me off).

That does suck! A friend of mine in that exact situation was thinking of picking it up, so I should warn him.

I don't know what system version the game requires, but I do know that the newer the Wii, the newer the update, but seeing as to how they've had about 2 this year already, it may be a good idea to try to find out online.
Just did a 5 minute look but couldn't really come up with too much.
---------
Okay, Marie and I have just done some looking around online at various sites and in some forums and found out something very easy.
The disc has the update on it. Which makes sense.
It's just the actual book doesn't mention that, it simply says that it will detect if the system update is needed, and that it won't run if you don't update. It never says that it's on the disc, and I had just assumed that it had to be downloaded (as all of my updates I've always done through downloading).
So yeah, my anger at that is misplaced (however, I keep my anger about stores selling open games as 'new').

This has been a weird week for me, that Greg Proops (what kind of a name is that?) guy as been haunting me. First in MadWorld, then in the second season of Flight o the Conchords (which I started to watch over the weekend) and then again on Monday night when I caught part of the Montreal Comedy Festival and he as on it with Ryan Stiles. What the heck?

MARIO KART WII
This game has reabsorbed my life. I've sunk about 40 hours or so in the last two weeks playing it online. GAH! It's been keeping me from working on anything else.
Why don't any of you have this?

The only reason I don't have it is because it came out BEFORE I bought the Wii. I will get it at some point. Don't forget to post your friend's code in the code thread. Also: I picked up Swords and Soldiers (WiiWare) yesterday and it is fucking awesome! (And everyone agrees with me)A side-scrolling RTS? And yet it really works! Highly recommended!

Already posted in there so it's all good. I must say though that I have been encountering more cheaters then I'd like of late.
I've been looking into Swords and Soldiers quite a bit for the last week or so. Looks like good stuff. And it's done by the people who originally designed de Blob, so that right there gives it a plus.

Sorry, I thought you had just picked it up from the way you posted. Yeah, so far we are terrible at this gaming stuff - I don't think there's any game that two of us own

Yeah, what is up with that? Well, granted, we both have Battalion Wars, I'm going to need to put a few more hours into that.
I have to say that Punch Out!! is looking great. I've been watching a lot of videos for it of late ad it looks like it'll be some classic fun.

Will Boom Blox Party be an online game too? I loved the first one, and being able to play it online would be awesome.
I never got into Punch Out, but the reviews have been really strong so far, so I might pick that up.
Other than that, most of the games I'm looking forward to aren't online. Like Wii Sports Resort, Pikmin 2 and Robo Chibbi. Is Tiger Woods going to be online? I'm actually pretty tempted to pick that up.
Oh and Mario Super Sluggers when it finally comes out here.
(And I do have Battalion Wars, but I don't have it. My army obsessed little brother still has it.)

I have no idea about Boom Blox Party, I never did play the original.
I know ExciteBots will be online, I just don't know when it's coming out here. Which is a shame. I loved ExciteTruck, so I'd like it to play some new crazy racing soon.
Mario Sluggers... that's the baseball one, right? I have to say that I've never been a huge fan of sports games, even if they are 'Marioised'. But I'd be willing to try it out. I need to find a place I can rent Wii games from. The only rental place I ever went to was shut down about 18 months ago ad I haven't rented a movie or game since.

I was never a fan of sport games before the Wii, now I find a lot of them really fun!
Word of warning about ExciteBots, it doesn't play like ExciteTrucks, apparently there are lots of minigames built in to the racing, so you'll be in the middle of a race and have to stop to play a mini game. Some people didn't like that, though it did seem to review mostly pretty well.
