I haven't been doing these weekly updates properly. Shame on me. Time to look back on my first full week of redundancy.
Creatively:
- I edited a large chunk of my NaNo novel and wrote around 5,500 words. I'm currently at 31,278 which is still around 5,000 off pace but if I can devise more plot then I should be able to catch up.
- I did the blood photo shoot for the monologue I'm writing and directing. That was awesome fun.
- I did some enemies (maybe just the one enemy?) for the Pixel Lincoln game.
- I did a photo shoot with Suzanne. I'll post something from that later today or tomorrow, but it was also fun. I'm hoping to shoot pretty regularly now if I can keep the models coming. I have some cool ideas for my card set.
- Oh, and I'm wrapping up Not the Goat! tonight.
Although it's not all strictly related to creativity (although some of it is) I'm also proud that I:
- Got my resume up to date and in order.
- I applied for a job at the Department of Culture and the Arts
- I had a meeting about some design work that's scheduled for January.
- I had a meeting about a potential professional writing commission for a theatre company. Should know more about this by the end of year. Won't say anything else for fear of jinxing.
Next week:
I hope to accomplish a lot more things (it was weird being home for a week. It was still a shock). I want to:
- Catch up on my NaNo novel.
- Earlier this year I helped my Granddad edit, design and publish a book he wrote through Lulu.com. He has a new book in the works and I hope to do some work editing that for him.
- I want to do some work on the script for my comics project with Grug.
- I'd love to do a photo shoot if I can line one up for the week.
- And I'd like to apply for some jobs. It looks as though we are staying in Perth for at least another six months, possibly a year. I am very tempted to try and freelance for a few months as there are a lot of potential projects coming up between Jan - May but I don't know. It's a tough one. I'll have to look at what's available and see what I can do. Tricky because the arts industry shuts down mid Dec to mid Jan. Won't find out about my DCA job for at least six weeks.
I think that's everything. Man. That all makes me nervous now
