Its looking to be a slow week for me creatively, as I'm just sort of there. I am hoping to post the basics of my game here so people and mess around with it, as well as starting a new blog (a personal one as opposed to a professional one like WDA).
I also decided on Sunday that I am going to organize and run another adventure race this February (almost a year from the last one) so I will be plotting and scheming to get that put together quickly, since I will need to get word out to folk to form teams. If anyone is interested in coming out and racing (J), let me know.

Have you seen the Dungeon site? It is so great, but I wish it was in English. www.pastis.org/donjonland/Also my A3 scanner has arrived! Can I make it work?! I love that website. its sort of like a choose your own adventure when you find where your supposed to click, except its in french so even then you still don't know whats in store until its too late.

I wonder if Dungeon is reminiscent of Tintin and Asterix for me because they're all french and belgian? maybe theres a style thats so subtle I haven't quite picked it up. Theres certaintly a VIBE there.

Theres certaintly a VIBE there. Absolutely! Dunno if you've checked out the comics I lent to Luke the other day, but most of them are Franco-Belgian style. I forget exactly what's in the pile, but there's Joann Sfar and Christophe Blain, both are Frenchies, and Jason who is from Norway. The only one that's a bit different in feeling, I think, is the Italian one - Garage Band by Gipi. Here is Mine and Jess' attempt at a French style comic: I'd like Luke's and my project to have a French feel.

This is fantastic, Grug and Jessica? When did you do this? Is it new? This is a real favourite for me, I love the pace and look of it. And lots of panels! Very well written too. I love the bit where he goes to her house.
I am so excited about our collaboration.

This is from April. We had to do it in a bit of a rush because it was for an anthology submission. Elfworld 2. Then we didn't hear anything from the guy for a long, long time and about a month or two ago, after we had forgotten all about it, he emailed us and said, "Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to email you. I haven't decided what's in the book, but you're in the running." or something to that effect.
Dunno if the book will ever happen though, that's the last we heard about it.
The first book had some amazing people in it, including:
Jeffrey Brown K. Thor Jensen Liz Prince Ron Regè, Jr. (I'm not a fan, but he's pretty big in the indie scene) Dalton Sharp Kazimir Strzepek (OH shit, HAVE YOU GUYS READ MOURNING STAR?!) And more...
Anyway, if it does happen, it has the potential to be super awesome.
Thanks guys!
Jess wrote and also did the grey tones.
And the extra panels per page (as opposed to my average of three) is part of our mimicking the French style. I plan to draw Glorious Bounty with lots of panels too, though I doubt they will be ruled like these pages, since if there's one thing that kills all my motivation to draw a page it's having to rule it up first.

(These pages were made using Boxen, buy the way, but I plan to work in A3 for this project, so I won't be able to print out the panels, unless I do every page in halves.)

That really is a great comic! It's very sweet, which is not a word I use very often, and it doesn't really beat you over the head with it.

Just in time for the end of the week! Spent the last two nights stitching this up while listening to Paris Combo and watching the first half of Barton Fink. Which is of course item 11 for the PC POwerplay Competition as detailed here and here.
