The eye discoloration is because he's deaf. It's unexpectedly hilarious and convenient. A deaf kitten doesn't wake up if you make noises near him.

Man, I didn't accomplish nearly as much as I would have liked to this week. I did do some work on my grandfather's book - I edited about half of it, and I went and saw two theatre shows (for a change) but I didn't end up writing any of my monologue like I said I would. Instead it's been a week of advent and kitten craziness. I will have to get on top of things in the coming week. I have a meeting in the morning about a potential writing job, so fingers crossed.

Yeah, I didn't get as much done as I would have liked either, but I did manage to get our place for our wedding officially reserved (after 3 months of arguing with them trying to get a contract so we can pay them.) and I went to a gaming day yesterday. Played some D&D 4e (interesting to say the least), carcassonne, and some primetime adventures (rpg where you play the cast of a tv show - the characters, not the actors playing the characters). Also had my brainstorm for a game and have been working on some sample cards to get things moving.
now its snowing, and I'm hoping for a lot, but not until becca gets back from her frisbee tournament today (nothing like throwing a weighted plastic disc at each other in the cold while running on a frozen field covered in snow).

yeah, she plays ultimate frisbee (picture playing soccer/football, but with a frisbee that once you catch it you have to stop moving until you get rid of it (throwing to someone on your team would be ideal)). She's in the the BUDA league (Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance) and plays in one shot tourneys with her other team (the Puppy Burgers). I don't know if the link will work as facebook still boggles my mind on what you can and can not do depending on if you are logged in or friends with the people who are hosting it, but if you do and can follow the link, heres some videos of her playing, as well as how the game works so you can get an idea for it: www.facebook.com/home.php?#/video/?of=627120181

I haven't played ultimate frisbee in years, but it's loads of fun. I think in my old age I won't last 5 minutes. I can't remember the last time I did something active and/or outdoors. Not entirely true. One of the most creative things I did this week was hanging christmas lights for the past 4 nights. Something that takes 4 nights should be amazing, but it's 2 bushes with a string of lights connecting them to each other. It shouldn't have taken nearly as long as it did.
Awesome Kitten! The eyes are wonderful.

I used to play, but I stopped when I decided that I don't like running. I still will play every now and then, but I couldn't keep up with her, and I'm not athletically competitive, so I usually just yell insults at the other players to distract them as I'm walking up and down the field with a beer and smoke (there are actually rules for those in the league, which makes it awesome)
ps - can anyone follow the link and watch the videos? just curious at this point.

yeah, I can't figure out how to not make it do that. I'll have to wait for Becca to get home to tell me where I can find it. I know we have copies of it on the computer, but its probably private for a reason (frisbee sex tapes I'm sure)

Spent the last two nights stitching this up while listening to Paris Combo and watching the first half of Barton Fink. Awesome! Yeah, I was right, Animal Crossing ate a LOT of my spare time. (Dude, I need to pay off my mortgage, or else Tom Nook's gonna break my legs.) Aside from that I got my usual daily comics done and finished my work on Sketchies - that paid comic I was talking about. Now I need to work on my own stuff. I've got these three projects all here, lined up, but none of them are finalized. I think I'm gonna do some boring journal comics or something this week, while doing the last couple of designs for Luke's book that I have been supposed to do for a few weeks now, and start penciling that. I also got two shirt designs done this week, although the one for the band apparently wasn't loved by all of the band, and they might not be using it after all. This is that Pinocchio one I posted the other day. Ah well, maybe I'll print them up myself if they don't use it?

That Pinocchio design was amazing. That band is crazy.
Animal Crossing is like crack in my house. Not for me, I haven't played since the Gamecube version, but my wife is insane about it. Today she was walking around going, "I need more money. How do I get more money? There must be cheats online. There must be a way to cheat. Maybe if I buy another Wii and another game, I can do twice as much every day..."
Or something like that.
