2925 is an awesome baby step.
I need to get at least 1500 done before I head off to bed tonight.

14582, and my eyes/head hurt too badly to continue.
officially, i got 3155 for the day. but since i always end up writing past midnight, 3567 is my actual total. still behind, but a few more weeknights like this will be awesome.

I just hit 15,550. Still well behind today's projected target of 20,800 but I'm bridging the gap. And in danger of running out of plot again.
A new 2,500 words are posted at my blog, but I've written a couple of thousand past those.

Okay, turning in for the night at 18,095. Now I really need some plot.

Currently on 13240. Very behind, and getting moreso as I go. By the end of Saturday (tomorrow) we should be on 25 000 in order to be on track. Lordy.

Suzanne and I both just passed the 25,000 word mark. We're both caught up and on track. In fact, we're a little bit ahead.
HUGE relief. We missed about five days last week so it's been a massive catch up. We've been sitting here next to each other staring into laptops and furiously typing away to make up for our decadence last week.

Oh my lord am I glad I'm back on track. And also halfway, woot! So I wrote 9000 words yesterday. And it begged the question, how many words could you write in a day? Before your hands and eyes totally gave out? I felt like I was getting there. It was almost 2AM before we stopped, so that probably accounts for the tired eyes, shaking hands and total inability to string together a sentence in my mind. It was pretty tough, and yet we didnt devote all day to it or anything. We started writing at 5PM, had a few diversions such as dinner and ice cream, and still got back up to our target. So I am thoroughly optimistic about my chances at completing this. Even if I fall behind in the weeks I know I'm capable of getting through a whole stack on weekends.
Yeeeaaah.

totally doable. you'll cross the finish line yet.
can i suggest you not do the coffee OD to do it, though? nice in theory, in practice it makes you sick and jittery.

my blood is already abut 15% coffee as it is. i have a remarkably high caffeine tolerance. i really like coffee. i will continue with coffee. i will wean myself off the coffee with tea all december.
on a more or less related note, i described my book to someone this afternoon as "douglas adams and dave eggers have a baby with a head injury." it only occurred to me an hour and a half later just how accurate this really is.
