you are WAY beating me. Though I am looking forward to another marathon this weekend. I'm aiming for 10 000 across two days. Also Luke and I are planning to do a photoshoot this weekend and thus we will have a creative and awesome weekend. for SCIENCE.

Did about 5.5 thousand words. Was hoping for 10, so I'm not out of the woods yet. Hoping to do maybe 3000 when I come back from dinner tonight. This has been a tough Nano, I don't think I've been ahead (or kept up) the WHOLE time..... last year I churned on through. Nano's a great exercise at what genres you resonate with, I think.

Well done to you! You might not know it but you've been a big influence in keeping me going this year. I was ready to quit and then I kept watching your number go up and thinking, "shit, Mike's still doing it." Forcing me into action.
I'm hoping to hit 50 later today.

successfully got my 2k tonight, and made it past the 40k mark (40,037) before my brain shut down. i'm cautiously optimistic, but i'm also very thankful (GET IT?) for this holiday weekend coming up.

Edit by J - I totally just ruined Luke's 50,000 word post by hitting modify instead of quote!!! All this time we've been building up and I just wrote write over it. Sorry about that. I'll rewrite it for him.
Luke - "I just hit 50,000 words. Need to edit the past 60 pages which will give me another 2000-3000 words."

This is an abuse of your powers. I'm calling April O' Neil in on this case.  Although Jay erased my victory, I have completed my 50,000 words. I have a complete story from beginning to end. I'm just editing the last 30 pages now. So I'm currently at 51,000 because I keep adding stuff. GLORY!! |
